inn log

Here we have the Innistrad Block league results. Over the course of six weeks we have had many spells cast in our shop but one Planeswalker towered above the rest. Roger Tyndall. He proved that he knows how to sling some spells by not only completing the most achievements, but he also won the most matches in the league! Here is a list of the top 3 players in the League:

  1. Roger Tyndall
  2. Bryiant Davis

  3. Tommy Hunter

We would like to thank every one who came down and played in our event. Please keep an eye on our calender of events for the next league and other events like this one. (all prizes will be paid at this weeks FNM 05/04/12)

Open the Helvault! Print E-mail

During our upcoming Avacyn Restored prerelease, players will have an unprecedented opportunity to participate in the Magic: the Gathering storyline by opening the Helvault, freeing Avacyn and releasing Griselbrand upon the plane of Innistrad. In the video below, the Helvault is opened through Liliana's machinations but, at the Little Shop of Magic, you could help open our very own Helvaults!

When you players in the special Helvault Events complete certain achievements, they'll each physically break a seal on our Helvault. Once all the seals have been broken, we will open the Helvault and distribute the spoils within!

Be forewarned, however, that not every one of our six prerelease events will feature the Helvault: only our Midnight and Saturday afternoon events are Helvault events so make sure you know which event you are preregistering for:

1. Midnight Helvault event has limited seating. To ensure that EVERY player in our midnight receives a COMPLETE set of Helvault cards, we are capping the event seating at 54 players. For this reason you should make sure to preregister and guarantee your spot as soon as possible.

2. Saturday Afternoon Helvault event has no seating cap. Seating for this event will not be capped unless it exceeds our maximum capacity (120 players) BUT only the first 54 registered players will receive a COMPLETE set of Helvault cards so, again, make sure you preregister EARLY if you're interested in your share of the spoils.

Of course, by now, you're probably wondering what's in the Helvault. Well, it's a secret. It's a secret even to our Wizards! Helvaults are all sealed and won't be opened until you unlock the seals at our Avacyn Restored Prerelease celebration!

http://www.shopofmagic.com/News/12-04/Citadel_Paint_Rack.gifTHIS WEEKEND ONLY:

BUY ANY 3 CITADEL PAINT POTS - GET ONE FREE!

The entire new range of Citadel Paints is now in-stock at your favorite Friendly Local Game Store. Completly redesigned with new formulation, the pots in this range are divided as follows:

Base

Citadel Base paints are high quality acrylic paints specially formulated for basecoating your miniatures quickly and easily. They are designed to give a smooth matte finish over black or white undercoats with a single layer.

Shade

Citadel Shades are specially formulated to flow over other paints and into the recesses on your miniatures, defining details and accentuating recesses. Once applied, they dry to provide a very effective, matte shading for your models.

Layer 1 & 2

Citadel Layer paints are high quality acrylic paints, and with 70 of them in the Citadel Paint range, you have a huge range of colours and tones to choose from when you paint your miniatures. They are designed to be used straight over Citadel Base paints (and each other) without any mixing. By using several layers you can create a rich, natural finish on your models that looks fantastic on the battlefield.

Dry

Citadel Dry Compounds are of a thicker consistency than other Citadel paints, which makes them perfect for drybrushing - a handy way to pick out the details on a model, or apply highlights swiftly and easily

 Glazes

Citadel Glazes can be used to intensify colour, allowing you to emphasise the strong colours on a model. With a similar consistency to a Shade, they provide a translucent layer across the colours beneath them that augments the original colour with a new hue. They are also useful for restoring colour to an area that might have been over-highlighted.

Texture

Citadel Texture paints are designed to provide a swift, effective solution to detailing your bases. They contain a mixture of both coarse and fine grit, which forms a rough, grainy surface that is ideal for drybrushing and ready for further detailing. They give strong, effective coverage over both black and white undercoats.

 Technical

Citadel Technical paints encompass four specialist formulas that have each been designed to perform a specific painting or modelling role.

Visit our store today and talk to one of our Wizards about the new Citadel Paint range: we have the tools and expertise to help you match up new colors to the old Citadel paints, along with plenty of advice on how to make the most of this new line.
