The unknown East African Theater of Operations of World War II: Africa Orientale Italiana (AOI) simulates the campaign in Ethiopia as a companion to the acclaimed Advanced European Theater of Operations (AETO). AOI begins with the Italian invasion in 1935, and includes all the units that participated in the campaign. It also includes a Spanish Civil War map and scenario, which allows AETO players to begin play in 1935, with the Italian invasion of Ethiopia and the Spanish Civil War, and then on into the full European war on all fronts. The East Africa map mates with the AETO map, creating the largest corps-level World War II game ever published. AOI also includes an India map that links to Advanced Pacific Theater of Operations (APTO), and expands the European east map into the Middle East and beyond. AOI can be played as an individual AETO scenario, or as a linkable game connecting every major theater of the Second World War, from 1935 to 1945, making AETO, AOI and APTO the most comprehensive corps-level World War II game ever published.
